 The Servant Of Two Masters

“He was always in disguise.”
“Incognito?”
“No, in Turin.”

January 11 to February 10, 2008
by Carlo Goldoni
Translated and adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher and Paolo Emilio Landi

Hatcher and Landi beautifully render the true spirit of Goldoni’s zany and rueful farce in this recent adaptation. All the wacky Commedia characters are there including the madcap servant Truffaldino who juggles masters, mistresses, lovers, lawyers, and plates of meatballs! Imagine a Jim Carrey or Steve Martin comedy written by Monty Python and performed by Chaplin or Jerry Lewis. Filled with gags, wisecracks, ad-libs and audience participation, Goldoni’s wild and unruly classic is an unforgettable delight!
